Andes Petroleum Ecuador Ltd. operates in the Tarapoa Block and the Lago Agrio Storage and Transfer Station (Sucumbios).
PetroOriental S.A. operates in blocks 14 and 17 (Orellana).
Andes Petroleum Ecuador Ltd. and PetroOriental S.A. are companies established
through capital provided by state-run firms from the People's Republic of China. These include: China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) with 55% shareholder participation and China Petrochemical Corporation (SINOPEC) with 45% shareholder participation.
We also hold a 36.26% share in the Heavy Crude Pipeline (OCP).

CNPC is one of the most important energy companies in the world. It is a state-run company whose commercial operations cover a wide spectrum of activities. In the oil industry specifically it is dedicated to the exploration, exploitation and production of hydrocarbons as well as transportation and refining (in order to obtain derivatives). It also performs national marketing and international commerce activities as well as the manufacturing and supply of machinery.

top 500 companies in sales volumes according to The Fortune Global 500.

The Sinopec Group is a state-run oil and petrochemical company whose activities include exploration, production and refining of oil and gas as well as chemical production, marketing and product distribution.
It is the second largest oil producer in China with 16 producing fields. It
is the largest crude refinery in Asia and the third largest in the world; it is also the second largest petrochemical firm in Asia, the seventh largest in the world and the largest oil derivative product distributor in China (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and others).
